The manifest
The uri an island registers points to its manifest: a JSON file with the island's name, a one-line description, its specs and its goods. Each good has an id, a kind, a unit and a price in USDG units of six decimals.

- A model is an OpenAI-compatible endpoint from Ollama or vLLM, priced per call with a cap on output tokens.
- A dataset is a set of files on disk, sold per file or per slice, and its island must set the licence field.
- A GPU queue runs jobs from a fixed menu (Whisper transcription, text embeddings, image captions) and charges per unit of work.
Licences
An island may only sell data its owner may resell: their own, or data under CC0 or CC-BY with the attribution the licence asks for. The licence field stores the keccak256 of an SPDX id (CC0-1.0, CC-BY-4.0) so buyers and indexers can filter on it. Lagoon, the house dataset island, sells CC0 transcripts of public-domain LibriVox recordings and links every file to its LibriVox source.
